Babymoons

By Definition, babymoon can mean three different things!
The first definition (The original meaning) is a period of time that both parents spend bonding with a recently-born baby.
The second definition (and the most commonly used one now) is used to describe a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby, in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together, before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby.
The third definition is used to describe a trip taken by a couple, even before they get pregnant! As long as the trip is intended to be a final romantic fling before venturing into parenthood, the term babymoon applies.
* Note* The term babymoon comes from the more traditional term honeymoon, which is a vacation taken by a newlyweds, right after they get married.

It’s becoming quite popular these days for first time parents to have a babymoon. While some skip out on it because they are still fresh from the previous honeymoon, old fashioned, or just tight on money… more & more are doing it!
The reasons? To relax, pamper yourselves, and reconnect as a couple before the strains & stresses of parenthood take over! Have I ever had a babymoon myself? No, not personally. We made a point to enjoy going out to nice restaurants & the movies before our first child was born. However, to us, we didnt see having a child as the end of youth & good times. We knew we’d get to have “Us Time” and relax every so often. So we saw no need in a babymoon. But am I against them? No, not by any means. I say go for it, if you can! It sounds fun & I see no harm in it!

Now because I have not ever personally went on a babymoon with my husband, it is kind of difficult to share what it’d be like, how much it cost, or ideas on where to go & what to do. However, I wanna be helpful… So here are plenty of what I saw as great & informational links… all dedicated to everything “Babymoon”! (^_^)
